An automatic high-speed in-line tray sealing system designed to cut labour costs has been launched by Proseal.
Features of the GT2s include a throughput of 120 MAP packs per minute with a six-impression tool, and space-saving and quick tool-changing capabilities. It can also be integrated into other line equipment, including the E-Seal technology, which is said to deliver an improvement in seal force of 260 per cent.
Pneumatic functions such as date coding of pre-printed film also help environmental performance. The Proseal ProMotion system also allows maximum throughput by using buffering technology to enable trays to feed continuously into the sealer without having to pre-sort and adjust pack spacing. Product handling is improved with fewer lines stoppages due to misplaced trays.
Downtime is minimised by quick-change conveyor belts, and an auto-lock film reel holder. Electrical controls enable safe cleaning and the GT2s incorporates a menu-driven control panel that can be remotely accessed. The screen provides production data and monitoring, full diagnostics and double-sided operation by a swing arm control interface for enhanced accessibility.
