FDA decision on BPA “not based on safety”

Consumers could be misled or confused by a recent decision by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that food additive regulations no longer provide for the use of bisphenol A (BPA)-based epoxy resins as coatings in infant formula packaging, according to canmaking industry group The North American Metal Packaging Alliance (NAMPA).
