Germany's Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery, and its Chinese subsidiary Demag Plastics Machinery (Ningbo) Co., are planning an expansion of their annual production capacity in China from 650 to 1,000 injection moulding machines.
Around 1,200 injection moulding machines will roll off the production line every year at Engel's plant in Pyungtaek City, South Korea, after the company completed an €8 million (US$10.3m) expansion and modernisation of the facility. This is almost double the previous amount.
