Greiner’s coextrusion facility targets barriers

Greiner Packaging and IPEC (Institute for Polymer Extrusion and Compounding) have opened a coextrusion facility in Austria in order to explore production technologies for the manufacture of packaging foils.

Mixed plastics to extrusion plant opens

Sensor-based sorting specialist, TOMRA Sorting, has linked up with Monoworld Recycling for a £9 million ($11.6m) plastics recycling facility in Rushden, UK. The Mondi Group has signed an agreement with German extrusion film manufacturer Polifilm Extrusion GmbH to sell its film manufacturing site in Osterburken, Germany. The South Africa-based converter has said that it now aims to move away from supplying films to competitors of its consumer packaging business.
