Greiner Packaging and IPEC (Institute for Polymer Extrusion and Compounding) have opened a coextrusion facility in Austria in order to explore production technologies for the manufacture of packaging foils.
Sensor-based sorting specialist, TOMRA Sorting, has linked up with Monoworld Recycling for a £9 million ($11.6m) plastics recycling facility in Rushden, UK. It is the UK's first mixed plastics to extrusion HDPE and PP recycling plant and complements Monoworld's film and metal sorting plant in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire.
