Clarks Natural Sweetener has been acquired by Hain Daniels – the UK subsidiary of US-based food group Hain Celestial.
UK business Clarks produces natural sweeteners under its own brand, including maple syrup, honey and carob, date and agave syrups. It generated net sales of £7 million ($9.3m) in 2016.
