French converter Livcer, a specialist in flexographic printing and thermoformed samples, has acquired a central drum flexo printing machine from Comexi.
The F2 MC flexo press has been designed to offer clients the possibility of being competitive with short and medium runs, thanks to what the Spanish company claims is good ergonomics and a changeover facility that is key for increasing productivity.
Specifically, the French company chose the press for its high-quality printing with water-based inks and its quick changeover times. It allows print width from 870mm to 1,270mm, in eight and ten colours, with maximum repeats of 800mm.
The new press will be located in Livcer’s facilities near Paris in France and will increase its print capacity and capabilities following growth in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain and Italy.
Comexi’s senior area manager for Central Europe Jordi Pujol said: “France has been one of the major markets since Comexi’s foundation in 1954. Currently, we have more than 60 CI flexo presses installed in this country, as well as other printing, laminating and slitting technologies.”
