PepsiCo chief leaves to start own company

PepsiCo’s global beverage group president Brad Jakeman is leaving the beverage giant after six years in order to start his own consulting firm.

However, Eugene Willemsen, interim president and executive vice president for global categories and franchise management, explained that PepsiCo will be the first client of Jakeman’s new company.

“Super excited to start this next chapter, even more excited that PepsiCo will continue to be a part of it. My only legacy that matters is the people. The people I have hired and promoted, all of who are super-stars, and I love,” Jakeman said in a tweet announcing his departure.
