Nigerian Breweries has appointed Jordi Borrut Bel as its chief executive, replacing Johan Doyer, who has been serving in the role on an interim basis.

Bel is currently the managing director of Heineken’s subsidiary in Burundi, Brarudi
and is also a board member of Heineken subsidiary Bralirwa Limited, Rwanda.

The board of directors said in a statement: “The board is confident that Borrut
Bel’s track record and broad experience stand him in a very good position to drive
Nigerian Breweries’ strategy and consolidate its leadership position in the
Nigerian market.”
