Mondelēz International has appointed Glen Walter as the executive vice president and president, North America. He joins from Coca-Cola, where he has been serving as chief executive of Coca-Cola Industries China since 2014.
Walter will lead the $7 billion business in the US and Canada, which includes brands such as Oreo and belVita biscuits, Trident gum and Halls cough drops.
Chief executive Irene Rosenfeld, said: “Glen is an inspirational leader with an impressive track record of building brands and driving growth in North America and beyond. His deep operating experience in complex businesses, including a strong focus on sales excellence, make him a terrific leader for our North America region. Prior to his time at Coca-Cola, Walter served as president of InBevUSA, he added: “I’m thrilled to join Mondelēz International and begin working with the leadership team to grow the North American business on both the top and bottom lines.
