US-based investments firm Pacific Ventures Group is to acquire food and beverage distribution business Convenient Wholesalers of America (CWA) in a deal that is expected to extend the company’s geographical reach to the South East of the US.

Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, CWA is involved in the distribution of food and beverages to retailers, households, hotels, restaurants, markets, liquor stores and petrol stations in the surrounding areas. It carries and manages a mix of more than 4,000 products manufactured by leading food and beverage companies.

Shannon Masjedi, chief executive of Pacific Venture Group, said: “We believe this acquisition significantly enhances our food and beverage distribution business with expansion to the South East. In addition to their existing footprint, we have identified opportunities to further expand Convenient Wholesalers of America’s geography and accelerate its business growth.”

Pacific Ventures Group is an investment group concentrating in consumer products in food, beverage and alcohol related industries. It is currently focused on expansion within these sectors having recently acquired the SnöBar ice cream brand.
