Debrosse named Bonduelle chief

French processed vegetable company Bonduelle has named Guillaume Debrosse as its chief executive as part of a revamp of its corporate governance structure.

Christophe Bonduelle will remain the non-executive chairman of the company when the changes take place in July. Debrosse has been the managing director of the business unit of Bonduelle EurAsia Markets since 2014, based in Moscow.

The changes form part of Bonduelle’s long-term international expansion strategy, which includes the recent acquisition of Del Monte’s business in Canada from Conagra Brands. The C$43 million (US$33m) acquisition includes the right to use the Del Monte brand on a range of segments of processed fruits and vegetables and stocks of products marketed by Conagra, one of the largest vegetable packers in the US.

Furthermore, it purchased US-based fresh food producer Ready Pac Foods in 2017 for an undisclosed fee.
