Coca-Cola will be increasing the personalisation of its packaging by adding surnames to the already established first names product line.

The company’s ‘Share a Coke’ campaign began in Australia in 2011 and later the US in 2014. The beverage giant will now also include names such as Smith or Lopez on its labels.

Coke worked with an information analytics firm to identify 200 popular last names that account for roughly one-quarter of the population of people in the US who are between the ages of 13-to-34, whilst the first name roster includes more than 800 options.
