US-based Chroma Color Corporation has continued to grow its manufacturing footprint with the acquisition of Polymer Concentrates, which is a privately-held manufacturer of colour concentrates for customers in the packaging, automotive and housewares industry.
Chroma Color and Polymer Concentrates have complimentary product lines but distinctly different customer bases, which makes the acquisition attractive, according to Chroma’s chief executive Tom Bolger.
Howard DeMonte, Chroma’s president and head of corporate development, added: “Polymer Concentrates delivers exceptional colour technology for nylon and other engineering resins and has several exciting new products in the R&D pipeline.”
Chroma Color Corporation was formed last September from the merging of four businesses: Chroma, Breen Color Concentrates, Carolina Color and Hudson Color. It is owned by private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners and posts annual sales of $160 million.
