Soft drinks business A.G. Barr has offered renewed support to a national campaign to clean up Scotland’s roads. Led by environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful, the initiative
urges road users to take personal responsibility for their litter.
The campaign brings together government, industry, charity and the public sector in partnership to drive forward innovative Scotland-wide programmes and raise awareness of
the impacts of roadside litter, as well as testing out new solutions.
A.G. Barr signed up to support the campaign as one of the funders in late 2016, its commercial director Jonathan Kemp, said: “We are very proud to work closely with Keep Scotland Beautiful, supporting the charity’s Clean Up Scotland campaign and now their
roadside litter initiative. We take our environmental responsibilities seriously and hope that our involvement can help to encourage others to do the same. Litter, whether it is on a roadside or spoiling our countryside, is a very important issue. We are pleased to be a part of this campaign which will see government, industry, charities and communities all working together to tackle anti-social littering behaviour.”
Derek Robertson, chief executive of Keep Scotland Beautiful, added: “Keep Scotland Beautiful is delighted to welcome this most recent action by A.G. Barr to support our roadside litter campaign. The company has been consistent in its commitment to keeping Scotland beautiful.”
