Levy on carbonated soft drinks proposed by Indonesia

Indonesia is proposing a levy on sweetened carbonated soft drinks to control their consumption. The government in Jakarta believes that the drinks have a bad effect on the health of consumers, even though they represent only a tiny volume of the market.
